Starting therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process as clear and supportive as possible for you.
Session Structure: Sessions typically last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly, though we can adjust the frequency to suit your needs.
Initial Session: Your first session is a chance for us to begin building a safe and trusting relationship. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, any concerns you’d like to focus on, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll ask some questions about your personal history and current situation to get a fuller picture of your experiences. We’ll also discuss how I work, confidentiality, and what future sessions might look like. Most importantly, this time is for you to feel heard, understood, and supported.
